The Dark Side

The Dark Side

Who do you trust: When you jailbreak an iOS device using a tool as Jailbreak Me  or one of the tools offered by the Dev Team, you don't really know what's happening to your device. At the end of the jailbreak you should have a more open iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad and a copy of the Cydia app. But what else has gone on in the background?
Up to this point, nothing, it seems. I've jailbroken iPhones and iPod touches for years and I've yet to have a problem where my data was exploited. But, as they say in the questionable-investment business, past performance is no guarantee of future results. It's possible that a jailbreak will come along (though not likely from the iPhone Dev Team) that does The Bad Thing.
Your phone is more open to attack: When you jailbreak your device and enable SSH, its more accessible from the outside than it once was. Far too many people jailbreak their phones (or purchase jailbroken and unlocked phones) without then changing its default "alpine" password. And some of those people have suffered in the form of baddies breaking into their devices.
If you're going to jailbreak your iPhone, do your future self the very big favor of changing its password. Cydia's home screen provides a Root Password How-To button. Tap it to learn how to change the device's password.

It is On!!!

JailbreakMe 2.0, what comes to your mind when you hear this? That’s the name for the new jailbreak for iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 3G and iPad on iOS 4, iOS 4.0.1, and iPad iOS 3.21. I know a lot of you have been waiting for this, so read on below to find out how you can jailbreak.
If you plan to jailbreak, make sure you sync with iTunes first. Turn on your iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 3G, or iPad and open the Safari application. Once you’ve done that, go to jailbreakme.com. Slide your finger to start the jailbreak process, and the screen will show you further instructions depending on what firmware your device is on.
This is THE easiest jailbreak ever for the iPhone. If you don’t get it, please re-read the above instructions again and again until you do. It can’t get easier in this. Have solace in knowing that now jailbreaking is 100% legal now, but don’t forget that it breaks your warranty.

iWorldwide

The iPhone 4 has today been launched in 17 more countries: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, HongKong, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, New Zealand, Singapore, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland. It's already sold out in New Zealand, where the Wall Street Journal reports that hundreds of customers were turned away, and Vodafone sold out of its entire stock allocation in hours. Over in Sydney, Australia, where Destiny's Child singer Kelly Rowland turned up for the launch festivities, the Sydney Morning Herald reported another interesting development, namely the fact that Australians did not appear to be having the same "death grip" antenna woes as their American cousins, and the South China Morning Post reported the same in Hong Kong. Very interesting. Maybe this is an updated version of the iPhone 4 with an antenna fix? It's certainly a bit of a mystery, hopefully one that we'll find out more about in the next few days.

iPhone jailbraek is ligle

Jailbreaking iPhone is legal, Apple can do nothing. US Copyright Office and the Library of Congress refused to accept Apple’s appeal to criminalize “jailbreaking” on Monday.Jailbreaking is the hacking of iPhone and install those applications which are not available by Apple itself. At the issue of jailbreaking, James Billington, librarian of congress assured that jailbreaking don’t violate Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCR). That’s why he didn’t accept the proposal of Apple.

Apple’s objections of installing and use of unauthorized applications were rejected and Marybeth Peters, Register of Copyrights, said, “When one jailbreaks a smart phone in order to make the operating system on that phone interoperable with an independently created application that has not been approved by the maker of the smart phone or the maker of its operating system, the modifications that are made purely for the purpose of such interoperability are fair uses”.

Peter also declined apple’s arguments that hacking of iPhone violates US Copyright Law. Shading light on the same topic, Peter told that hacking is based on pirated copies of smart phone’s boot leader and operating system that’s why it’s not illegal.Apple submitted their application in the month of February, 2009 in the Copyright Office. This was done when EFF asked for CDMA exemption in 2008 gadgets jailbreaking.

The thing is Apple is against of jailbreaking but EFF and technology companies wish Copyright office to allow user to install those applications which are not available in Apple’s app store.

The left part of the story is the arguments between CDMA and Apple, why Mozilla and Opera stop to create iPhone version of their “Firefox” and “Opera”? Firefox refused to develop a version for iPhone but Opera produced Opera mini for iPhone users.
The bottom line is that this day will be in history as the day when all iPhones  got finally FREE

Iphone 4g

As we know, the iPhone has an excellent built-in 4 cameras, allowing you to create gorgeous HD-videos. However, the problem is that there is no possibility of a new camera image stabilization. Thus, the video made using the iPhone's 4 received a little "jerky". Of course, if you use the camera exclusively for small commercials, then you should be very disturbed. But now a lot of people are interested in cinema and want to shoot their own full-fledged amateur movies with the camera device. And for such projects image stabilization is very important.
Photographer Spencer Watson has decided to make your own Steadicam for iPhone 4. Spending on individual parts of $ 30 he managed to make this pendant a tripod, thanks to which you can easily move smoothly the camera and shoot video clips with no annoying "bumps".
Judge for yourself - Here's a video created using stedikama:

iPhone 4g coms with Apple Jail

Without being able to jailbreak iPhone 4G, iPhone 4G users will be forced to only use applications that are officially available on the App Store. iPhone jailbreak users will no longer be able to fully customize their device. I really hope Apple isn’t successful in patching the iPhone 4G, otherwise I’m getting an HTC Evo 4G and saying goodbye to iPhone. Would you buy an iPhone 4G if you couldn’t jailbreak it? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments.
